The Athlete Doc | Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP) | Team Chiropractor - Nashville Soccer Club | Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) | Former All-Conference Collegiate Football DE/OLB | Dr. Ross Kees

Pain is often a warning light (think of the “check engine” light in your car) of tissue weakness, movement incompetency, inefficiency and/or compensation; Dr. Ross uses an effective combination of passive (joint adjustments, soft tissue manipulation, and laser therapy) and active (rehabilitative exercise, supportive movements, and performance exercise) to create the best treatment plan for your injury, dysfunction, or performance goal. Dr. Kees is a board certified Chiropractic Sports Physician and is the current team chiropractor of the Nashville Soccer Club; he has an elevated level of clinical and personal experience with athletics and the stress that comes with training and competing at a high level. During his time playing college football, Ross sustained a variety of soft tissue injuries (3 shoulder labral tears with reconstructions, knee meniscal tear with reconstruction, and MCL tear). Having to work through these injuries has helped him develop a level of empathy that provides a solid foundation for working with athletes and helping them to continue (and prolong) their athletic journey. In addition to his experience playing collegiate football, The Athlete Doc interned under the University of Minnesota athletics' staff chiropractor, and the Tennessee Titans' chiropractor; as well as completing advanced training in evaluation and treatment of athletic injuries. These experiences and education have allowed Dr. Kees to become more specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of soft tissue and sport injury. Ross is also a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), with experience coaching high school, collegiate, and professional athletes. Prior to beginning chiropractic school, Ross received his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from St. Cloud State University (St. Cloud, MN) where he also played collegiate football.
